Band calendars have been given to each student so that important graded activities are reserved for the band in advance.

Students should be working on page 50 and above of the Standard Of Excellence Book. A  30 minute meaningful practice is all that is necessary.    Coming to the band room to practice 3 times a week takes the place of two at home practices.  Students with larger instruments or any band student can come to the band room and use the following three opportunities to practice.

1)  Mornings from 7:30AM  to 7:55 AM.
2)  Lunch Time after a student has eaten lunch with the permission of their                  teacher for the remainder of the lunch period.
3)  After school starting at 3:00PM students may use the practice rooms until              3:30PM.

More practice is better of course, and private lessons make a world of difference in a students progress.
